Grammar Grappler #22: Sincerely yours or Sincerely Yours

When your complimentary close is more than one word, you don’t capitalize the second word.

Yours truly,

Best regards,

Continued well wishes,

With love,

Truly though, I don’t recommend any of those for the complimentary close of a letter. Rather, you can’t go wrong with this simple one-word closing: Sincerely.

For professional correspondence, stick with Sincerely. One exception may be when it is appropriate to close with Thank you. But, anything beyond those complimentary closings deserves a second thought.
