Many of you may feel as if you’re running in circles or wasting time or simply having a hard time settling into a routine. Write down three job-related tasks you will do today, and do them first.
This simple practice overcomes distractions—and yes, email can be a distraction. Place the files or papers on your designated work area at home so these three priorities are the first items you see–or star your email to-do’s so they’ll be at the top of your list each morning.
